Theme : “50 Years of the Green March : National Unity and Continental Ambition”

Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, Maroc Diplomatique is organizing the fifth edition of the MD Sahara Forum, which will be held in the city of Dakhla from November 13 to 16, 2025.

This edition comes as Morocco marks the 50th anniversary of the Green March (1975–2025), a highly symbolic milestone and a historic event that shaped the country’s territorial integrity and national unity.

The 5th edition of the MD Sahara Forum aims to provide a high-level platform for reflection and dialogue around the theme : “50 Years of the Green March : National Unity and Continental Ambition.”

Discussions will address the historical and political significance of this landmark event, as well as its extension into Morocco’s contemporary strategies ; particularly its driving role in regional integration and African cooperation.

Meanwhile, the city of Dakhla, now an emerging hub of economic and diplomatic development, offers an exceptional setting to host this international gathering. The Forum will bring together government officials, business leaders, academics, and representatives of regional and international organizations.

Through this edition, Maroc Diplomatique reaffirms its mission as a platform for strategic thinking, highlighting the legacy of the Green March and its influence on contemporary Moroccan diplomacy. The emphasis will be placed on the interplay between national unity and continental ambition, at a time when the Kingdom continues to strengthen its position as a key player in development and South-South cooperation.
